A menstruating woman reading the Qur'an without touching the mushaf

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa number ( 16340 )
Q2: Is it permissible for a menstruating woman to read the Qur'an without touching the mushaf ?
A2 : It is permissible for a menstruating woman to recite from memory without directly touching the mushaf if she needs to read the Qur'an so that she does not forget it. This is unlike the one in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah), who is not allowed to read the Qur'an, neither from the mushaf nor from memory, until he performs the full ritual bath (ghusl). This is based on what is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
He was not prevented from anything of the Qur'an except by janabahإنه كان لا يمنعه شيء من القرآن سوى الجنابة
It was narrated by Ahmad and the people of the Sunan. In a narration in Ahmad from 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) with a good chain:
That the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited some of the Qur'an, then said: This is for one who is not in a state of janabah, but the one in a state of janabah is not allowed to do so, not even a verseأن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قرأ شيئًا من القرآن، ثم قال: هذا لمن لم يكن جُنُبًا، أما الجُنُب فلا ولا آية
. As for the hadith that forbids a menstruating woman from reading the Qur'an, it is weak. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
