A Civil Defense Officer Should Be Advised to Write His Will

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q47: Is it prescribed for a civil defense officer to write his will, especially since he offers his soul in the path of Allah, and what should he include in it?
A47: It is recommended for a Muslim to write his will in his state, just as a civil defense officer is in a state where he is exposed to definite dangers during emergencies. Therefore, writing his will becomes more emphasized for him, especially if people have rights over him. In that case, it is obligatory for him to write his will. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
It is not befitting for a Muslim who has anything concerning which a will should be made, to abide for two nights without having a written will with him.ما حق امرئ مسلم له شيء يوصي به يبيت ليلتين إلا ووصيته مكتوبة عنده
Sunan an-Nasa'i 3615Sahih (Darussalam)
Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim from the hadith of Ibn 'Umar .
