Q 2: What is the benefit of the water that is poured on the grave after the soil has been leveled on it , is there any evidence for it, and who was the first to pour water on his grave?
A 2 : The grave is sprinkled with water immediately after burial so that the soil settles and holds together. Al-Shafi'i in his Musnad, Sa'id ibn Mansur , and Al-Bayhaqi narrated with a mursal chain, and Sa'id ibn Mansur narrated that the sprinkling was done in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The three Imams, Abu Hanifah , Al-Shafi'i , and Ahmad , and others, held that sprinkling water on the grave after burial is prescribed. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
