If a pigeon falls into the water tank and changes its smell, does it become ritually impure?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 15085 )
Q: What is the ruling regarding the purification of the people of a house in which a pigeon fell into the water tank , and it remained there for a period while they were unaware, until the smell of the water changed? Throughout this period, which lasted about a week, they performed wudu and purified themselves using the water from the tank? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.
A: It is obligatory for everyone who performed wudu from the aforementioned water after it was changed by the pigeon that died in the tank to repeat the prayers for which they performed wudu from this changed water; because they performed wudu from ritually impure water, which does not remove the state of ritual impurity. And Allah knows best. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
