Allegory in the Qur'an: Lessons in Rhetoric

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: We inform you that one of the teachers of the subject (Rhetoric) cites Qur'anic verses in explaining the lesson. In one of the lessons, she mentioned the verse:
And he sensed within himself apprehension, did Moses.فَأَوْجَسَ فِي نَفْسِهِ خِيفَةً مُوسَى
[Taha 20:67]
Then she commented on this verse by saying: From a rhetorical perspective, this verse is supposed to be in a different order. Question: What is the ruling in the Shari'ah regarding her comment on this verse?

A: The Noble Qur'an is a book whose verses have been perfected and then detailed from the One who is Wise and All-Aware. It has reached the highest degrees of rhetoric and eloquence. Allah the Exalted challenged the eloquent Arabs to produce something like it, or even a single surah like it, and they were unable to do so. He the Exalted said:
Say, "If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants."
[Al-Isra 17:88]
, and it is not permissible for anyone to claim that a specific order he proposes is more eloquent than the order of the Noble Qur'an, for the best of speech is the speech of Allah, and the superiority of the speech of Allah over the speech of humans is a matter known from the religion by necessity.
