Touching pebbles while the imam is delivering the Friday sermon

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 17649 )
Q 2: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade touching pebbles while the imam is delivering the Friday sermon. I hope you will clarify the nature of touching pebbles and whether a person falls under the ruling of the prohibition and its consequences
if he removes a small pebble that has stuck to his forehead and feet after performing the sunnah, which is sometimes on the mat prepared for prayer?

A 2: The forbidden touching of pebbles while the imam is delivering the Friday sermon means: leaving off fiddling with the dirt, stopping movement, and listening to and paying attention to the Friday sermon; because this action distracts from that and causes one to miss the benefit of the sermon. The prohibition does not include what was mentioned in the question; because it is not fiddling. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
