Q: In one of the mosques of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, in the city of Jeddah , one of the imams stands to deliver the Friday sermon on behalf of the original imam of the mosque, who is absent on leave. He has consistently, every Friday during the sermon, mentioned
the following phrase: “I remind you, O Muslims, that there is no supplication between the two sermons.” I challenged him on this phrase, asking him for a text from the Noble Qur’an, or an authentic hadith, or a legal ruling that forbids it, but he only said that it is in such-and-such a book. What is the correct position on this?
A: We are not aware of anything that prevents supplication between the two sermons on Friday. In fact, this time is a likely time for acceptance; because some scholars hold that the hour on Friday when supplication is accepted is the time between the imam sitting on the pulpit and the completion of the prayer. This is based on what was narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him),Bulugh al-Maram 2:383 agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim. And from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him), narrated by Muslim and Abu Dawud .
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

Narrated [Abu Hurairah (RA)]: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) mentioned the day of al-Jumu'ah and then said, "There is a time in it (Friday) at which no Muslim would stand up while praying and beg Allah, Who is Great and Glorious, for something except that He would give it to him. He (ﷺ) indicated with his hand that it (this time) is short." [Agreed upon].
That he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say regarding the hour of Friday: “It is the time between the imam sitting—meaning on the pulpit—and the completion of the prayer.”
أنه سمع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول في ساعة الجمعة: هي ما بين أن يجلس الإمام - يعني: على المنبر - إلى أن تقضى الصلاةAnd success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
