Speaking Between the Two Friday Sermons

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 20970 )
Q 2: Is it permissible to speak between the two Friday sermons ?
A 2: If a person speaks between the two sermons, he does not sin, and this does not affect his Friday prayer. The basis for this is what Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When the Imam is delivering the Khutba, and you ask your companion to keep quiet and listen, then no doubt you have done an evil act.إذا قلت لصاحبك يوم الجمعة: أنصت والإمام يخطب فقد لغوت
Sahih al-Bukhari 934
It was narrated by the group except Ibn Majah . The point of indication is that the hadith indicates the prohibition of speaking while the imam is delivering the sermon, and from this it is understood that it is permissible when he is not delivering the sermon, and that time is between the two sermons. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
