The wooden board in the mosque's mihrab
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q 4: In our mosque, there are two prayer rooms: a small room where we pray when there are few of us, and a large room where we pray when there are many. Each room has a mihrab, and in each of them there is a wooden board. Some people have said: Is this not permissible?
A 4: If placing the wooden board in the mosque's mihrab is for a valid purpose, such as placing Qur'ans and books on it, or if it is in the form of a cabinet to store items specific to the mosque, or to indicate the qiblah or the mihrab, then there is nothing wrong with it. However, if it is placed for a bad purpose, such as believing in it or rubbing against it seeking blessing, then it is not permissible to place it, and it must be removed. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
