A Mosque and a Graveyard with a Single Enclosure

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 17975 )
Q 2: A mosque is located within the boundaries of a graveyard, and they share a single enclosure. To enter the mosque, the worshippers must pass through the graveyard, and there is no path other than the one mentioned. What is the ruling in Islam regarding this? May Allah reward you with the best reward.
A 2: It is not permissible to pray in a mosque built over graves, nor is the prayer valid; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade praying at graves and building mosques over them, and he cursed those who did so. Also, because doing so is a means to worshipping them instead of Allah. It is obligatory to move the mosque away from the graves, and to enclose the graveyard in a way that protects it from being traversed and disrespected. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
