Contact cards bearing some of the remembrance of Allah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 21562 )
Q: There are prepaid contact cards that function for a certain period and then expire, and are thus thrown away after their expiration. These cards are trampled under the feet of passersby while bearing the phrase of tawhid (the oneness of Allah). O Shaykh: What is the ruling of the Shari'ah regarding this matter?
A : Deliberately trampling contact cards that bear some of the remembrance of Allah the Exalted, or His verses, or His names, and throwing them under the feet is strictly forbidden,
and it is kufr (disbelief); because it is obligatory to magnify Allah the Exalted and to magnify His verses and His names. He, the Exalted, said:
That [is so]. And whoever honors the symbols of Allah - indeed, it is from the piety of hearts.
[Al-Hajj 22:32]
, and He, the Majestic and Exalted, said regarding the mockers:
(65) And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing." Say, "Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?" (66) Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief. If We pardon one faction of you - We will punish another faction because they were criminals.
[At-Tawbah 9:65-66]
. Accordingly, it is not permissible to write any of the remembrance of Allah on cards that are exposed to being trampled, and it is obligatory to restrain whoever does so, in order to magnify the sanctities of Allah the Exalted. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
