Names that are not valid for the Prophet

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 19272 )
Q 1: We have come across a mushaf here in which (99) of the beautiful and well-known names of Allah the Exalted are written on the first two pages. The unusual aspect of the matter is what is written on the last two pages, where (99) names (or attributes) of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) are written, in the same style in which the beautiful names of Allah were written
in it. Is this permissible? Does the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) really have (99) names? The mushaf is printed in Pakistan . We ask you to clarify this issue, and it would be desirable if a letter were sent to the publishing house responsible for printing these mushafs or publishing them, even in a newspaper, and we would appreciate receiving a reply.

A: First: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has only five names, as mentioned in the authentic hadith from his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
I have five names. I am Muhammad. I am Ahmad. I am al-Mahi (the effacer), by whom Allah effaces kufr. I am al-Hashir (the gatherer), before whom people are gathered. I am al-Aqib (the last).لي خمسة أسماء: أنا محمد، وأنا أحمد، وأنا الماحي الذي يمحو الله بي الكفر، وأنا الحاشر الذي يحشر الناس على قدمي، وأنا العاقب
Muwatta Malik 61:1
narrated by al-Bukhari in (his Sahih). Anything beyond that consists of names that are not valid, or descriptions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and are not his names. It is not permissible to attribute names to him (peace and blessings be upon him) other than the five unless there is an authentic hadith. Second: Writing the mentioned names in the mushaf, either at the beginning or the end, is not prescribed. The prescribed matter is to keep the mushaf free from everything
other than the Noble Qur'an, as is known from the righteous Salaf (may Allah be pleased with them), and to protect the Qur'an from having added to it what is not part of it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
