Fatwa number ( 11556 )
Q: What are the causes by which the faith of a Muslim is strengthened ? May Allah reward you with good?
A: Among the causes by which your faith is strengthened and your certainty increased is your firm belief in the six pillars of faith and your practice of the branches of faith. The pillars of faith are: belief in Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He), His angels, His messengers, His books, belief in the Last Day, and belief in divine decree, its good and its evil. Among the branches of faith are: testifying that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, prayer and fasting, zakah, Hajj, jihad in the path of Allah, dutifulness to parents, excellence in treatment of relatives, orphans, the poor, the traveler, neighbors, workers, and servants, enjoining good and forbidding evil, adhering to patience in all matters, humility and avoiding arrogance, guarding the mouth and private parts from what is not permissible, and honoring trusts and covenants, and so on. This is because it is established that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 598. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

Faith consists of sixty (or seventy) branches. The best of them is 'There is no god but Allah.' The lowest of them is to remove harmful things from the road.
