Q: The questioner explains in his question his circumstances and the state of the people of the town where his mother resides, and his mother’s request that he reside with her in the same town… etc.
A: If the reality of your situation and that of your family is as you have described; then if you can find work in your village from which you earn what suffices you and your family, and you are able to advise the people of your town, and you hope that they will accept your advice without you and your children being affected by their religious innovations – then respond to your mother’s command out of kindness to her and maintaining family ties, and with the hope that Allah will guide the people of your town through your hands. And if you cannot find work here from which you earn what suffices, or if it is more likely in your opinion that the people of your town will turn away from your advice and not accept your guidance, or if you fear that they will lead you or your children astray with their religious innovations – then there is no blame on you in remaining in Alexandria and the like, in order to preserve your religion and your children’s creed from shirk (associating partners with Allah) and its means, while maintaining ties with your mother and your kin through financial support and visits to the extent of your ability; due to the saying of Allah
the Exalted:[Al-Baqarah 2:286] , and His saying, Glorified is He: [At-Taghabun 64:16] , and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih al-Bukhari 7288 the hadith. Your distance from the places of fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) and shirky religious innovations to a place where you are safe in your religion, where you can cooperate with the people of the Sunnah and the community, and where you are able to earn what keeps you and your family chaste, is considered a migration in the cause of Allah the Exalted. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْAnd if I order you to do something, then do of it as much as you can.
إذا أمرتكم بأمر فأتوا منه ما استطعتم
