Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 16127 )
Q5: Is it permissible for the imam, after any prayer, to supplicate to Allah for them while they respond with “Ameen,” and the imam himself is sitting in the mihrab?
A5: The imam’s supplication after prayer and the congregation’s response of “Ameen” to his supplication is a religious innovation (bid'ah), but each person should supplicate individually without raising his voice and without raising
his hands. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
