Amine to a supplication on a tape
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 21675 )
Q 5: If I hear a tape released one or two years ago in which a Shaykh is making a supplication, should I say amine to his supplication?
A 5: Supplication and saying amine to it are acts of worship. It is prescribed to say amine to the supplication of a present supplicant, but it is not prescribed to say amine to a recorded supplication on tapes; because there is no person actually making a supplication for you. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
