Q 8: Some schools give gifts to children on the occasion of their birthdays. Is it permissible for Muslim students to accept these gifts?
A 8 : Giving and accepting gifts on the occasion of birthdays is not permissible; because they are forbidden festivals in Islam, and whatever is built upon a forbidden thing is forbidden. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
