I killed a donkey that I found in my crops, and I killed a cat and a donkey by mistake

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 4645 )
Q: I have a farm, and in one of the years, a donkey appeared there eating from it. I hit it with a stick, and my two blows killed it, and I did not intend to kill it. I have a donkey, and with some of the group and my neighbors, there are farms and orchards. It is harmful; it harms them and eats from their farms, and it caused problems between us. So, I tied its hands so that the wild beasts would eat it at night, and indeed, they ate it. I have a cup full of butter, covered with a lid, and a cat appeared on it eating from the butter. I hit it with a stick, and my two blows killed it, and I did not intend to. This is while I hope for your fatwa regarding what I did to these animals, and by Allah,
then by Allah, I am sorry and regretful for what I did. Allah knows that whenever I remember it, I cry out of fear of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). I hope for the fatwa, and thank you, and may Allah reward you with the best reward.

A: First: You made a great mistake by killing the first donkey and the cat, and by tying the second donkey so that the wild beasts would eat it; for in that lies great injustice to those animals. So, you must repent to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) from that, regret your action, not return to such a thing, and try to increase in righteous deeds, such as charity and voluntary prayer, and the like of good deeds, so that Allah may accept repentance from us and from you. He (Glorified and Exalted is He) is the One who said:
But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance.
[Taha 20:82]
and the One who said:
(68) And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty. (69) Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated - (70) Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. (71) And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance.
[Al-Furqan 25:68-71]
.
Second: You must pay the owner of the donkey mentioned in the first question its value at the time of its killing, or seek his forgiveness. If he has passed away, his heirs take his place in that. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
