Q: I am presenting to your magnificence a sad scene I witnessed involving one of the donkeys in this area. I saw it a year ago, and its left leg was swollen with a severe swelling. Then I would see it near the main road once a month or every two months: the swelling would increase. However, I saw it these days in front of my house, and its leg has become very swollen, approaching the size of a 25-pound gas cylinder. It walks while trying to lift it off the ground, but it is too heavy for it, and I was horrified by the sight of this animal. I realized that it is suffering from this chronic pain. I saw that I should write to you. Do you see any problem with slaughtering it and throwing it outside the town in such a case? Because I believe that such a swelling might be cancer or something similar. So I ask you to inform us of what you see, and may Allah grant you success.
