Q 1: We had a donkey that we used to transport water from the well to the house. However, this donkey was strong, and we could not hold it because of our young age when it would chase the mares. So, my grandmother and I tied its testicle; so that its desire for the mares would not be aroused and it would not chase them. However, it died as a result of this. We did not intend to kill it, but we wanted to calm its strength. What is the expiation, O honorable Shaykh? May Allah reward you.
A 1: You and your grandmother owe nothing for causing the death of the animal, because you did not intend to kill it or harm it.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
