Q 4: What is the ruling on killing insects by electric shock ? Knowing that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded kindness in killing and kindness in slaughter.
A 4 : If these insects are actually harmful and there is no way to get rid of their harm except by killing them with electric shock or the like, then it is permissible to kill them by that means, as an exception to the command to be kind in killing due to necessity; because of the generality of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sunan an-Nasa'i 2887Sahih (Darussalam) and his command to dip the fly
in the drink, in which it may be killed. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

It was narrated that Aishah said: "The Prophet said: "There are five animals all of which are vermin, and may killed outside and inside the sanctuary: Vicious dogs, crows, kites, scorpions and mice.'"
خمس من الدواب كلهن فاسق يقتلن في الحل والحرم: الغراب والحدأة والعقرب والفأرة والكلب العقورin the drink, in which it may be killed. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
