A vow to perform Hajj or 'Umrah before marriage

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 16354 )
Q 1: What is the ruling on one who vows to perform Hajj or 'Umrah before marriage, is it permissible for him to marry and expiate for his vow?
A 1 : One who vows to perform Hajj or 'Umrah before he marries must fulfill his vow; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever vows that he will be obedient to Allah, should remain obedient to Himمن نذر أن يطيع الله فليطعه
Sahih al-Bukhari 6696
and this is before marriage. As for the ruling on marriage before performing the obligation of Hajj or 'Umrah, this is detailed: If the Muslim does not fear for himself regarding zina, it is obligatory for him to prioritize Hajj over marriage. If he fears for himself regarding that, he should prioritize marriage over Hajj in order to protect his chastity, and because Hajj is only obligatory upon the one who is able, and this person is considered unable until he protects his chastity. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
