Fulfilling the Covenant

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 6489 )
Q 3: When I was fifteen years old, I used to ask my father to marry me off. One day, I saw my little brother, who was two years old, so I stood up to him, put his hand in mine, and made a covenant with him that I would marry him off. I ask for guidance: Am I obligated to fulfill this covenant by marrying him off? I know that I am unable to do so, or do I owe an expiation? May Allah reward you with the best reward.
A 3 : It is obligatory to fulfill the covenant if you are able to do so, and if you are unable to fulfill what
you covenanted, then you must pay the expiation for an oath, which is: feeding ten poor people, or clothing them, or freeing a believing slave. If you are unable to do that, then fast for three days. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
