The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 5313 )
Q4: If I see things and behaviors in my Muslim brother that I do not like, and he has wronged me, and I do not want to confront him about it, and I complain about it to someone else, mentioning the faults of my aforementioned brother with the intention that he may advise him so that he does not wrong me again, is this speech about him in his absence considered backbiting?
A4 : If the matter is as you described, then that is not backbiting. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
