The ruling on one who mentions a matter of the Hereafter in jest

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 17592 )
Q 2: What is the ruling on one who mentions a matter of the Hereafter in jest or as a slip of the tongue , such as the jokes we hear about Paradise and Hell and the like? Is the one who says it a disbeliever, or is he excused due to his ignorance of the ruling, like one who mocks something of Islam?
A 2: The Muslim believes in everything that Allah and His Messenger informed us about regarding the Day of Resurrection; such as the resurrection, the Reckoning, the Scales, the records, the Sirat, Paradise and the bliss within it, and Hellfire and the punishment within it, and other things that Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us about regarding the Day of Resurrection. Mocking anything of
that is apostasy from Islam; because it is evidence of denial. It is obligatory for one who has done any of that to hasten to sincere repentance and seeking forgiveness, so that perhaps Allah will accept his repentance. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
