One to Whom the Call Has Not Reached

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of fatwa number ( 17743 )
Q1: What is the ruling on a person to whom the Islamic call has not reached, or who heard it but found no one to explain Islam to him so that he could submit? Does he have an excuse for this or not? And what is the ruling on a Christian to whom no one brought Islam, and who died upon that?
A1: Whoever among the disbelievers to whom the call has reached in a manner that allows him to understand what was conveyed to him, if he wished to understand, has had the proof established against him, and he is not excused by ignorance. Allah the Exalted said on the tongue of His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
And this Qur'an was revealed to me that I may warn you thereby and whomever it reaches.وَأُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ هَذَا الْقُرْآنُ لأُنْذِرَكُمْ بِهِ وَمَنْ بَلَغَ
[Al-An'am 6:19]

, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
By Myself in Whose Hand is my soul, no one from this Ummah, whether a Jew or a Christian, hears of me and then dies without believing in that with which I was sent, except that he will be among the people of the Fireوالذي نفسي بيده لا يسمع بي أحد من هذه الأمة يهودي أو نصراني، ثم يموت ولم يؤمن بالذي أرسلت به إلا كان من أهل النار
narrated by Muslim in his Sahih. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
