The ruling on one who declared people disbelievers, and it later became clear to him that he did not intend those people

The fifth question of the fatwa number ( 12849 )
Q 5: Whatis the ruling on a person who believed that some people were disbelievers and declared them disbelievers for reasons that later became clear to him, namely that perhaps these people did not intend disbelief, and he persisted in declaring them disbelievers and removing the doubt about it, cursing their religion because he believed they were apostates who had left Islam and were not attributed to Islam, then it became clear to him later that what he had held was wrong. Among these reasons is a word that a person might say spontaneously, such as saying: "O so-and-so, your rank or status is above my head," and that person saw in it the exaltation of other than Allah, so he declared the speaker a disbeliever and cursed his religion?
A 5: The scriptural evidence indicates that it is obligatory for the Muslim to be careful in matters and not to be hasty, and the person mentioned erred in declaring some people disbelievers and in cursing their religion, and it is obligatory for him to repent to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), seek forgiveness for what happened, and ask for forgiveness from those he wronged. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
