There is a stone statue in the imam's house that people ask for things

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 14820 )
Q: In our village, there is an imam of the mosque who prays with us at all times. This imam has a stone in his house in the shape of a statue, with a face like a man. Women come to it every Friday, jumping over this stone, believing that this stone will give them pregnancy instead of their husbands. We asked this shaykh to stop this practice because it is forbidden or associating partners with Allah, but he was not convinced. Some of us were convinced that he did not associate partners with Allah, and that his intention and belief in Allah were not in the stone, while others of us were not convinced. Please inform us, may Allah reward you, with a clear answer from the Qur'an and the Sunnah. If this shaykh is not convinced after the answer, is the prayer behind him valid or invalid? We also inform you that he takes money from the woman who jumps over it.
A: First: It is forbidden to go to this statue in the imam's house to ask it to fulfill needs; because that is shirk (associating partners with Allah) with Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He), and a cause of exiting the religion of Islam. Allah the Exalted said:
And those whom you invoke other than Him do not possess [as much as] the membrane of a date seed. (14) If you invoke them, they do not hear your supplication; and if they heard, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association. And none can inform you like [one] Acquainted [with all matters].
[Fatir 35:13-14]

And Allah the Exalted said:
To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He creates what he wills. He gives to whom He wills female [children], and He gives to whom He wills males.
[Ash-Shuraa 42:49]
, and Allah the Exalted said:
And [He revealed] that the masjids are for Allah, so do not invoke with Allah anyone.
[Al-Jinn 72:18]
, and it is established that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When you ask, ask Allah, and when you seek aid, seek Allah's aid.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2516Hasan (Darussalam)
... etc. Second: If the aforementioned imam does not repent from approving shirk and taking the wealth of the world for it - then it is not permissible to pray behind him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
