A1: The original ruling for things is permissibility, except for what evidence from the Shari'ah indicates is forbidden. Prohibition is derived not only from a prohibition that is free of circumstances that divert it from its original meaning, but also from a command to kill. The snake is among the animals that were commanded to be killed. It was narrated from A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 1198b It was narrated by Ahmad , Muslim , Ibn Majah , and al-Tirmidhi .
