Using henna without a valid reason

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 15135 )
Q: Is using henna without a valid reason permissible or not? Some men dye their legs and hands; is that permissible without a valid reason? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
A: Dyeing with henna is permissible for women; because it provides adornment and beauty for them, and they are in need of that. As for men, it is not permissible for them to dye with henna, because of the imitation of women, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited that. However, it is permissible for a man to use it for the treatment of certain diseases if it is beneficial for them. It is also prescribed to change white hair with it for men and women, except with pure black, because it is not permissible to change white hair with pure black. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
