The Ruling on Tips
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 9206 )
Q5: If I work in a pharmacy or some other place, and I am paid for my work by the employer, but some of the customers give me some money as a tip , what is the ruling on that money? Knowing that I do not ask them for it.
A5: It is not permissible for you to take that money; because it is a type of bribe, and it is forbidden. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
