Q: I am a driver of a large refrigerator truck for my sponsor, and I transport vegetables and fruits from the Haddithah region to Riyadh . We sit waiting for the night shift for ten days or more. This is for individuals, whereas institutions
and companies have priority in loading. If I want not to wait, I pay the amount of one thousand riyals to the company or institution, considering myself as one of them. Is that permissible for me? Also, in the case of 'Ammar at the customs clearance offices, they cannot load for you until ten days or more have passed, or else you pay the amount of one hundred riyals. Is that permissible? May Allah guide you and protect you and grant you a good reward, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and all his Companions.
A: It is not permissible for you to pay the aforementioned money in order to be given priority in the night shift during loading; because this is bribery, and the scriptural evidence has indicated the prohibition of bribery. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
