Confronting the Behavior of the Foolish

Fatwa No. ( 8428 )
Q: I am a student in a secondary school, and there are some reckless young men in our school. Sometimes a fight or quarrel breaks out between me and one of them, and for example, it reaches the point of him insulting me or hitting me on the grounds that he is better than me. What is regrettable to me is that this person is an open sinner and commits these actions, not because I am committed to my religion, but as a mockery and ridicule in front of a group of young men, even though, praise be to Allah, I am capable of deterring him and retaliating against him. I know for certain that if this insult or beating were because I am committed or because he wants to prevent me from performing religious rituals, I would have been patient. But, O Shaykh Ibn Baz , what is also regrettable to me is that if I were patient with the harm of these young men, they would make it a habit. I know for certain that if I were harsh with him, it would end immediately and he would also respect me. Although Islam preserves the personality, dignity, and status of the Muslim among people with the utmost care, I also say that this person is an open sinner who openly commits sin and disobedience and does not respect Islam.
1 - What will be my lawful conduct with these people? 2 - My classmate said a word of open sinfulness, and he sings in front of me and is insistent on it. 3 - If a young man in the school insults the religion of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in front of me. 4 - If my professor and teacher insults the religion of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). What will be my lawful conduct with all of them? And is patience with harm even in worldly dealings? The matter that confuses me is that if I were patient with these insults, my dignity would be lost and my respect diminished, knowing that I am a caller to Allah in the school, so the call would be hindered in the school. I ask for your fatwa on this question. And may Allah reward us with good.
A : If the situation is as mentioned, I bear witness to those of the attendees who see the foolishness of these people and their harm. Repel their harm against yourself with what is good, and report them to the person responsible for the school, whether the principal or someone else, so that he may discipline them and stop their harm from you and others in whatever he sees as beneficial. And despite all of this, be patient and seek reward, and you will have the reward. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
