The popular Al-'Ardah held on the day of 'Id al-Fitr by beating drums

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 18093 )
Q: In our area, during the festivals, especially after the month of Ramadan, what are called popular Al-'Ardahs are held. People gather and beat drums until late at night, and loudspeakers are used, which disturb the residents living near the place where the celebrations are held. A great deal of money is spent on these celebrations to buy sacrificial animals, food, and drinks, and to bring in groups that beat the drums and so on. We ask you to inform us of the ruling on the permissibility of practicing these activities or contributing to their organization. May Allah guide everyone to what He loves and is pleased with, and peace be upon you.
And upon you be Allah’s mercy and blessings.

A: The popular Al-'Ardah held on the day of 'Id al-Fitr by beating drums, including those that continue until late at night and involve the spending of money, is an abominable act, especially since it takes place after a great month of worship, the blessed month of Ramadan. It is necessary to prevent the holding of popular Al-'Ardahs that include what has been mentioned. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
