Q6: What is Your Eminence’s opinion regarding the Qaramita and the Batiniyyah ? Are they among the sects of Islam, or are they disbelievers? We ask Your Eminence to provide us with some information about them and about the other sects.
A6: The Qaramita and the Batiniyyah are not of Islam in any way; rather, they are disbelievers and heretics. The scholars have explained the invalidity of their doctrines and the evil of their beliefs in specific books, so refer to them, paying attention to the books of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
