Q: I am sending you poems that a woman sent to me. She says her husband follows one of the Sufi orders - Muhammad al-Fayturi Hamudah - and she wants to know the truth. I replied to her and she was convinced, but I was unable to respond to her husband and her father. They told me: "They are on the right path," and asked me to bring evidence from a well-known scholar, not from myself. I ask for a response to these
attached poems, which were composed by ( Muhammad Hamudah ) mentioned above.
A: The Sufi orders are paths that contradict the guidance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). It is obligatory to follow the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), adhere to his Sunnah, and avoid what contradicts his guidance and Sunnah; because it is a religious innovation, and every religious innovation is misguidance. Upon examining the papers attached to the question, it was found that they contain innovative phrases and praises that exaggerate and overpraise the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). Therefore, it is obligatory to abandon Sufism and its orders, and return to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, and act in accordance with what the righteous Salaf, the Companions and the Successors, were upon. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: , and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan Abi Dawud 4607Sahih (Al-Albani) . May Allah guide us and you and all Muslims to what is good and righteous. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
This Ummah will split into seventy-three sects, all in the Fire except one. We said: Who are they, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Those who are upon what I am upon today and my Companions.
وستفترق هذه الأمة على ثلاث وسبعين فرقة كلها في النار إلا واحدة. قلنا: من هي يا رسول الله؟ قال: من كان على مثل ما أنا عليه اليوم وأصحابيYou must then follow my sunnah and that of the rightly-guided caliphs. Hold to it and stick fast to it. Avoid novelties, for every novelty is an innovation, and every innovation is an error.
