Q 6: A group of people of goodness, righteousness, and scrupulousness gather at a certain time, and verses are recited for them regarding love and other matters. Some of them enter into a state of presence and dance, some shout and cry, and some are overcome by something resembling unconsciousness. Is this action disliked for them or not?
A 6: The presence and dancing are among the religious innovations of the Sufis, so it is not permissible for a Muslim to participate in them or imitate them. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
