The Meaning of Taqwa (Mindfulness of Allah)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 10530 )
Q 1: I have heard the call to taqwa (mindfulness of Allah), but I have not been able to define
how it is practiced; because this term is so general, what is the path to taqwa (mindfulness of Allah) ?

A 1: Allah the Exalted commanded us to have taqwa (mindfulness of Allah) of Him, and He said:
O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be fearedيَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ
[Ali 'Imran 3:102]
, and taqwa (mindfulness of Allah) of Allah the Exalted is achieved by doing what is commanded and avoiding what is forbidden. Thus, the servant does what he is commanded to do in terms of words, actions, and intentions, and leaves what he is forbidden from doing in terms of words, actions, and intentions. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
