The second question of Fatwa number ( 19886 )
Q 2: Is it permissible to say: (I seek Allah’s forgiveness as many times as He has created)?
A 2: What is reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), to our knowledge, is that he used to say:Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3554Da’if (Darussalam) , as narrated by Muslim in his Sahih from Ibn Abbas from Juwayriyyah Sahih Muslim 2726a And in a wording by Muslim as well: from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: Sunan Ibn Majah 3808Sahih (Darussalam) . As for seeking forgiveness: it is established that he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to seek forgiveness frequently, and that he used to seek Allah’s forgiveness one hundred times a day, and the verses and hadiths have come regarding the encouragement to seek forgiveness and the virtue of those who seek forgiveness, so Allah the Exalted said:
and the hadiths regarding the encouragement to seek forgiveness and the virtue of those who seek forgiveness, so Allah the Exalted said: And He the Exalted said: [Hud 11:3] the verse. And it is authentic from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the hadith narrated by Shaddad ibn Aws (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who said: Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 620 It was narrated by al-Bukhari in (his Sahih), and al-Tirmidhi and al-Nasa'i and Imam Ahmad narrated something similar. It is prescribed for every Muslim man and woman to strive to not miss this
great virtue and immense reward, and to restrict oneself to what has come from Allah and from His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). As for the wording mentioned in the question, it has no basis in this exact phrasing, so it is better to leave it; because dhikr and seeking forgiveness are acts of worship that are not valid except by divine authorization. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
Q 2: Is it permissible to say: (I seek Allah’s forgiveness as many times as He has created)?
A 2: What is reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), to our knowledge, is that he used to say:
glory is to Allah according to the number of His creation
سبحان الله عدد خلقهJuwairiya reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came out from (her apartment) in the morning as she was busy in observing her dawn prayer in her place of worship. He came back in the forenoon and she was still sitting there. He (the Holy Prophet) said to her: You have been in the same seat since I left you. She said: Yes. Thereupon Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said: I recited four words three times after I left you and if these are to be weighed against what you have recited since morning these would outweigh them and (these words) are:" Hallowed be Allah and praise is due to Him according to the number of His creation and according to the pleasure of His Self and according to the weight of His Throne and according to the ink (used in recording) words (for His Praise)."
أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم خرج من عندها بكرة حين صلى الصبح، وهي في مسجدها ثم رجع بعد أن أضحى وهي جالسة، فقال: (ما زلت على الحال التي فارقتك عليها) قالت: نعم، قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: (لقد قلت بعدك أربع كلمات ثلاث مرات، لو وزنت بما قلت منذ اليوم لوزنتهن: سبحان الله وبحمده عدد خلقه، ورضا نفسه، وزنة عرشه، ومداد كلماتهSubhan-Allahi 'adada khalqiha, Subhan-Allahi rida nafsihi, Subhan-Allahi zinata 'arshihi, Subhan-Allah midada kalimatihi (Glory is to Allah, as much as the number of His creation, glory is to Allah as much as pleases Him, glory is to Allah as much as the weight of His Throne, glory is to Allah as much as the ink of His words'
سبحان الله عدد خلقه سبحان الله رضا نفسه، سبحان الله زنة عرشه، سبحان الله مداد كلماتهand the hadiths regarding the encouragement to seek forgiveness and the virtue of those who seek forgiveness, so Allah the Exalted said:
and those who seek forgiveness in the early hours of the morning
وَالْمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ بِالأَسْحَارِAnd [saying], "Seek forgiveness of your Lord and repent to Him, [and] He will let you enjoy a good provision for a specified term

سيد الاستغفار أن تقول: اللهم أنت ربي لا إله إلا أنت، خلقتني وأنا عبدك وأنا على عهدك ووعدك ما استطعت، أعوذ بك من شر ما صنعت أبوء لك بنعمتك علي وأبوء بذنبي فاغفر لي فإنه لا يغفر الذنوب إلا أنت، قال: من قالها من النهار موقنًا بها فمات من يومه قبل أن يمسي فهو من أهل الجنة، ومن قالها من الليل وهو موقن بها فمات قبل أن يصبح فهو من أهل الجنةgreat virtue and immense reward, and to restrict oneself to what has come from Allah and from His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). As for the wording mentioned in the question, it has no basis in this exact phrasing, so it is better to leave it; because dhikr and seeking forgiveness are acts of worship that are not valid except by divine authorization.
