Supplication for the relief of distress and hardship

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The eleventh question of Fatwa No. ( 2677 )
Q 11: What is the most effective supplication a person makes to his Lord to be relieved of the constriction of the chest ?
A 11: The removal of distress, the relief of hardship, and the expansion of the chest are in the hand of Allah alone. So, if you are struck by hardship and the constriction of the chest, turn in fear to Allah alone, and ask Him to remove what has befallen you. Do what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do, for when a matter would distress him and hardship would intensify, he would turn to prayer. He taught us to say when in distress:
La ilaha illallahul-Azimul-Halim. La ilaha illallahu Rabbul-'Arshil-'Azim. La ilaha illallahu Rabbus-samawati, wa Rabbul-ardi, wa Rabbul-'Arshil- Karim. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Incomparably Great, the Compassionate. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Rubb of the Mighty Throne. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Rubb of the heavens, the Rubb of the earth, and the Rubb of the Honourable Throne).لا إله إلا الله العظيم الحليم، لا إله إلا الله رب العـرش العظـيم، لا إلـه إلا الله رب السـماوات والأرض ورب العرش الكريم
Riyad as-Salihin 1502
. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
