Greeting the Muslims with the phrase "Peace be upon those who follow the guidance"

Fatwa number ( 699 )
Q: Is it permissible, when facing his colleagues, to say to them: (Peace be upon those who follow the guidance )?
A: It is not hidden that it is obligatory for the Muslim to consider the rights of his brothers
the Muslims, and to care for their feelings, and that he is required to love for his Muslim brother what he loves for himself, as that came from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). It is also not hidden that among the rulings of the greeting is informing the Muslim brother of the goodness of one’s heart toward him and one’s love for him, as a brother among the Muslim brothers, and that is by supplicating for him with absolute safety, and with the mercy and blessings of Allah upon him. There is no doubt that greeting the Muslim with the phrase: (Peace be upon those who follow the guidance) contains an element of insinuation and sarcasm that does not align with the general principles of the obligation of the bond, compassion, affection, and mercy among Muslims, and that they are like one body, if one part of it complains, the rest of the body responds to it with fever and sleeplessness, and that they are like a building, each part supporting the other, and that the principle regarding them is goodness. Therefore, it is not befitting for the Muslim to greet his Muslim brothers with this phrase: (Peace be upon those who follow the guidance). Rather, this greeting is sent by the caller to Islam and those in his position to non-Muslims, as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did so. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
