Q9: What is the statement regarding those who say: there is no politics in religion, and no religion in politics?
A9: The Islamic Shari'ah came with the correct policy between the Islamic state and other states in times of peace and war, and with the correct successful policy that it is obligatory for the rulers of the Muslims to treat the Islamic community with and govern them by in their religion and worldly affairs. As for the cunning policy, the evil scheme, based on open sinfulness, deception, lying, breaking covenants and treaties, treachery, and failing to keep promises, the Islamic Shari'ah did not come with it. And whoever follows the texts of the Book and the Prophetic Sunnah and the practical biography of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will find it full of sincere and just policy toward those it allies with and those it opposes. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
