The status of unregistered foreign workers or those who have fled their sponsors: the ruling on concealing them and buying from or selling to them

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifteenth question from Fatwa No. ( 19637 )
Q15: Regarding unregistered foreign workers or those who have fled their sponsors, is it permissible in the Shari'ah to conceal them and buy from or sell to them on the grounds that they are poor or that we
need them, or is it not?

A15: It is not permissible to conceal unregistered, overstaying, or fleeing foreign workers, nor to buy from or sell to them; because this violates the state's regulations, and because it aids them in betraying the state to which they came. The prevalence of unregistered workers leads to increased corruption and chaos, encourages them in this behavior, and deprives those who deserve work of their livelihood, restricting their ability to earn. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
