Q 2: Most people in our country add things to the religion, and when we prevent them with verses and hadiths, they cite this noble hadith, in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 1017a ?
A 2 : The intended meaning of the good sunnah is not legislating a new religion, but rather the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) intention is to revive the good sunnah that he established, so that others may follow his example, and likewise the bad sunnah. The hadith is general regarding anyone who revives the sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), whether in the Prophetic era or after it until the Day of Resurrection. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
