He wishes to maintain family ties but has a disability

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 18568 )
Q1: Allah the Exalted and His noble Messenger have commanded the maintenance of family ties, but I have a disability and a hearing loss—praise be to Allah in all circumstances—and these two prevent me from going to visit them, because I am embarrassed by my inability to hear them. Will I face the inevitable punishment that Allah the Exalted has threatened for one who severs family ties?
A 1: If the situation is as you described, and you are disabled and deaf, and these conditions prevent you from going to visit your relatives, then we hope that there is no blame on you for that. We advise you to clarify this to your relatives so that they think well of you and do not cut off their ties with you. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
