The accused thief is brought and a heated iron is placed on him; if he does not confess, the fire does not harm him

The third question of Fatwa No. ( 18853 )
Q3: We have some people here, who bring the accused thief and place a heated iron on him in the fire . If he confesses, so be it, but if he does not confess, the fire does not harm him. Is this practice permissible in the religion of Allah?
A3: This practice is invalid and not permissible. It is one of the forbidden forms of sorcery that undermines the creed. It is obligatory to abandon it and resort to the
legal methods for interrogating the accused. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
