Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The seventh question of Fatwa No. ( 5944 )
Q7: What is your opinion, may Allah be pleased with you, regarding leftover food and food that exceeds the need? In the college, many varieties are served, and the student eats a little and throws away the rest?
A7 : Excess is prohibited, and wasting wealth is prohibited. It is obligatory to preserve the remaining food for a second meal, or to feed those in need. If they are not found, then feed the animals, even after drying it, for those who are able to do so. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
