Q 1: What is the ruling on a woman entering the hospital for childbirth, given that the doctors in the hospital are men?
A 1: It is not permissible for male doctors to attend to a woman in childbirth except in cases of dire necessity, such as when there is fear for the woman's life, and there are no female doctors available to attend to her; based on the saying of Allah the Exalted:[Al-An'am 6:119] And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
