The ruling on a woman giving birth under the supervision of a male doctor, and the removal of the uterus

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This is a letter from a woman in Iraq who has coded her name as (A. H. H). She says in her letter: I have given birth to five children, two of whom died and three are alive, but every time my delivery is difficult. Allah knows that I am forced to go to the hospital, and on three occasions male doctors, along with nurses and female doctors, have supervised me. I refuse to let the male doctors deliver me, but I cannot do anything because I am in a state of illness and weakness, and the doctors are the ones who supervise the delivery. I have decided to have an operation to remove my uterus so that I never get pregnant again. Is that permissible for me, and is it permissible for a woman to be delivered by a male doctor? Whenever I find a male doctor in the hospital during my visits, I fear Allah the Mighty and Majestic. Now I am pregnant and afraid of the day of delivery that a man will deliver me as happened in the past. Please advise us, may Allah reward you.
Answer: If the situation is as you described—O questioner—then there is no blame on you out of dire necessity. However, if a female obstetrician is available, that is obligatory. But if that is not available and you find no one but a male doctor, and you are compelled to do so, then there is no blame on you, and praise be to Allah; because the doctor looks at the woman's 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered) when there is a need or dire necessity. But whenever you find a righteous female doctor for this matter, it is not permissible for you to go to the man, and you must go to the female doctor. It is not permissible for you to remove the uterus; rather, be patient and seek help from Allah. Perhaps Allah will grant you children through whom He benefits the servants, and who will pray for you in your lifetime and after your death.
The point is, do not remove the uterus, be patient, and do not rush in matters. If there is a need for a male doctor, there is nothing wrong with that for you. And when you are able to do without him and use a female doctor, praise be to Allah. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
