Who is responsible for carrying out retaliation in kind
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of the fatwa number ( 18804 ) Q4: Our country is not an Islamic country. If a Muslim man kills a Muslim out of anger, or for something meaningless, or out of arrogance because he is rich, and I or another person witnessed it, can we kill him? Because the eye is for the eye and the killing is for the killing? If we could, the government would imprison us.
A 4: It is not permissible to carry out retaliation in kind except after it has been established according to the Shari'ah before the Shari'ah court, and the ruler carries it out. As for individuals, they do not have the right to carry out retaliation in kind against anyone, due to the harm and chaos that would result from it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
